We had a great time and it was well worth the cost to get in. We ended up hanging out longer than planned because we were enjoying ourselves. Some of the staff was even calling me mom by the time we left...inside joke. My only complaint was the lack of seats. Our things had to be left at a picnic table so far from where we were. So we did most of our water play without having access to our towels or belongings.
Came today with grandkids and we as grandparents were NOT participating but chaperones and STILL HAD TO PAY THE $10 fee … which is ridiculous.
Our bags were checked and we were unable to carry in snacks/sodas/water (we could have taken the water in). Had to take bag back to car as the water was the only thing we could take in WITHOUT being in ice cooler as the water would have been hot within 30 minutes!
We noticed the family in front of us had a pull wagon full of backpacks … had oranges/sodas/snacks/apples and was given the ok to just go on in!
We came last year and had none of these issues and enjoyed it AND was able to exit the park and come back WITHOUT a recharge fee! If you have a need to go back to your car, you will HAVE TO PAY the $10 fee AGAIN to enter!
This could be handled with a hand stamp or wrist band and this would resolve these issues!
In the future, we will drive further and take our grandkids to the beautiful Wet’n Wild Emerald Pointe Water Park in Greensboro. We won’t be back here again!
Me and my toddler love this place! It’s the best and most fun! I would buy tickets in advance you don’t have to wait :)
First time coming here with my family for our. Family reunion it was loved we had a wonderful time I suggest this water park for your family you will not regret it and the music was great we had a blast 😊😊😊
First, my son had a lot of fun. The options available for kids were great.
I’m giving this 2 stars because of the overall cleanliness of the park itself. The pool had band aids, diapers on the side, dirt and other random pieces of trash just floating in the water. Around the seating area was just other trash, like more band aids and cigarette butts. I noticed this within minutes of entering the water park, and they had just opened. The bathrooms were awful. They smell disgusting, they’re not clean, trash everywhere and just not sanitary to use. There definitely isn't enough trash cans to go around and the ones that are available, there are so many chairs in the way, it’s hard to get to the trash can.
Also, the table where they check bags and tickets.. there were 3 people there and two of them were arguing. One girl asked the other to not stand so close to her and the other as I was getting my tickets checked slammed her water bottle on the table aggressively and luckily my tickets were scanned in time for me to grab my son and walk away quickly because things escalated from there. That’s really unprofessional and should be handled in the parking lot or after hours.
The food wasn’t terrible but they had one window open with a long line and when they did have people waiting at another window, they didn’t open it until customers walked away, after having stood there for 10min.. clearly they had another person available and she just chose not to work.
The ticket prices aren’t bad but you’re paying for what you get. Which is dirty pools, trash around the pools, no trash cans, dirty bathrooms and snotty other patrons. (Which I know you can do nothing about.)
The best thing about the park were the lifeguards, they were alert, doing their jobs and ensuring the kids were having fun while also maintaining safety. You could tell though, some of them didn’t want to get into the water because of the uncleanliness.
I would recommend this place but they need to hire more people to clean and less people just standing around with a bad attitude.
We always have a great time here. They have plenty of lifeguards but not enough people keeping the bathrooms nice. Bathrooms need a lot of TLC. They should let you bring your own snacks because the food sucked. Definitely need a better menu. Other than that, it's great. Please expand your park, it's fun. Someone please kill those wasps on the lazy river. Order more ice cream please. Wonderful park otherwise. Need one in every town. Definitely a go-to for water fun.
I wanted to take the time to write this because of what I read on here. I am surprised by the negative reviews. So I went into this trip worrying we wouldn’t enjoy it. It really was a great time and well worth $10 a person. We stayed from 11-4 and my kids didn’t want to leave. The lifeguards were really great especially a young man named Matt, I think. I hope I heard is name correctly. He had glasses and worked the lazy River today. They all were great. Shout out to the young man doing the swim test all day! That’s tough walking back and forth in the sun!
Bringing a lunch and snacks is more ideal when you have kids. You do have to purchase food but know that before you go. There’s a water park an hour from here that you can bring food but it’s only slides not an actual water park. So you give and take and try both. I think this one is better.
I think the water is salt water because it wasn’t chlorine and it felt so great to not have red eyes and smell like chlorine. It was refreshing instead. Definitely worth a trip. Buy tickets online so you can get right in and not wait in the long line and waste time. Then you can get a good seat under shade. It’s not true you can’t go out to your car for an emergency for medical issues like someone mentioned. You most certainly can. That would be against the law.
The two young ladies checking bags at the front were not aggressive like mentioned. They were quite nice and friendly. It’s a busy place. They are really just trying to keep everyone safe and accountable without that it could be a dangerous situation.
For a small town park it is good. The bathrooms could be cleaner. But not horrible. The lazy river tubes which also are used for one of the three slides are almost all completely or partially deflated. Prices are reasonable. Overall a good time when we have gone.
